FSCS opens for claims from Verus Financial Services customers

regulation2

On 15 October the Financial Services Compensation Scheme opened for claims from Verus Financial Services customers.

Verus was an independent financial adviser firm providing investment, pension, mortgage, equity release and insurance advice.

It had been authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority since March 2017 and the FSCS confirmed it is “working closely with the FCA”.

While claims are being accepted the FSCS noted it is currently investigating the firm “to determine whether claims meet the qualifying conditions for compensation, and this may take some time”.
