Scottish broker switches to AR model as it hits 50 years
Antony Murray has told Insurance Age why the Scottish broker E G Murray moved to being an appointed representative and what its plans are moving forward.
The firm became an AR of Momentum Broker Solutions in March this year.
He explained: “It was fairly quick. So from July 2025 when I initially started thinking about becoming an AR [we] then reached the decision agreement November 2025.”
Gerry Murray is still listed as a director but is not active in the business, his son acknowledged.
“He’s just been a really good sounding board. It’s really been myself and Tracey [McBride] being the driving force behind the business.”
