Clear adds to wholesale and MGA offering with latest deal

Clear Group has bought wholesale broker Commercial Risks (UK) and its managing general agent Troon Underwriting.

Founded in 2002 and led by James Osman, Commercial Risks focuses on placing complex insurance into Lloyd’s and the surrounding company markets in London.

It brings a team of seven to the new owner and specialisms spanning commercial combined, contractors’ risks, casualty, professional risks, property owners’, education, care and sports, leisure and entertainment

The approved Lloyd’s coverholder also runs a retail broking portfolio.
