In-house claims teams at MGAs rising up broker priority list
Commercial motor brokers overwhelmingly prefer managing general agents with in-house claims teams, according to research by Direct Commercial.
The MGA noted that 94% of brokers polled believe in-house delivers a more responsive service than outsourced claims models.
The figure has jumped since previous Direct Commercial Broker Barometer research in late 2024, when it stood at 82% of brokers.
In the latest survey, conducted across 111 brokers, more than three-quarters (76%) also described in-house claims handling as either important or very important when selecting a commercial motor insurer or MGA.
