Car premiums return to tracking down in latest quarter

After the first quarterly rise in more than two years, comprehensive car insurance premiums have returned to softening, according to the latest Confused/WTW price index.

The three months from March to May 2026 had seen a 1% increase, however the hardening has proved short-lived.

For June to August the market softened by the same percentage, the research calculated.
