Q&A: PremFina bosses Bishop and Aylott

PremFina’s leaders reveal if the premium finance provider has delivered on its promise to be profitable this year, and explain the thinking behind the string of inward investments, current broker relationships and plans for the future. Emmanuel Kenning poses the questions.

PremFina’s operating loss in 2023 stood at £6.4m, going on to be trimmed to £4.2m in 2024.

In August 2025, chief strategy officer Danielle Medhurst told Insurance Age the business would be profitable in the second quarter of this year.

Q: The 2025 results are yet to be published but are expected to show red ink. Has the target been achieved in 2026?

Lewis Aylott, chief financial officer: Yes, we’re pleased to say that we have. We are now at a stage of profitability.
