Ripe reveals deal costs and 21% turnover growth

Digital managing general agent Ripe Thinking spent £22.8m on a pair of deals last year as turnover and operating profits rose.

The MGA completed the purchase of boat insurance specialist GJW Direct from Munich Re Specialty in April 2025.

A filing at Companies House show it paid £11.35m in cash to seal the deal.

It followed this up with holiday homes insurance specialist Schofields, marking its entrance into the sector. The bill came to £11.46m, settled with £7.5m in cash alongside £3.69m in deferred and contingent consideration.

Peach and owner grow in 2025
