Willis IRM buys brokers in Hessle and Belfast

consolidation merger acquisition

Firm grows to £32m GWP and over 100 staff.

Northern Ireland broker Willis Insurance and Risk Management (Willis IRM) has bought Kennett Insurance Brokers based in Hessle, East Yorkshire and McCausland, Light and Rankin based in Belfast.

Kennett Insurance was set up in 1975 and employs 12 staff at its office in Hessle, just outside Hull.

Willis IRM’s regional presence in Reading is headed up Luigi Maggio who will become a director in Kennett working with current MD Nick Wride.

McCausland Light and Rankin (MLR) was established in 1993
