Howden combines PI and GI divisions in the UK under one management team

Simon Lakey becomes chairman and Chris Evans appointed CEO of Howden UK.

Howden has confirmed that it will combine its UK operation under a single management structure effective 1 November.

The retail broking arm of Hyperion Insurance Group, announced that Simon Lakey, currently managing director of Howden's UK professional indemnity (PI) business will become chairman of Howden UK.

Managing directors
Chris Evans, managing director of Howden's general insurance (GI) business in the UK becomes CEO of Howden UK.

Andy Erritt, currently deputy managing director of the PI

Broking profits fall at Saga

Underlying profit before tax in Saga’s insurance broking arm fell to £39.8m for the year ended 31 January 2024, compared with £71.5m in the previous period.
