Towergate sale of John Charcol and financial planning businesses completed
Management buyout package totals £14m.
Palatine Private Equity has completed the management buyout of the mortgage broking business, John Charcol, and the financial planning business of the Towergate Group.
The private equity firm stated that the financial planning business will be announcing a new brand in the coming weeks whilst John Charcol will continue to trade under its current brand.
In total Palatine Private Equity and management have invested £14m in the transaction backing Ian Darby and the existing management team of both
