A recent global survey of a cross-section of major organisations has found that careful planning for leadership succession has a significant impact on a firm's commercial success.
The research, which included companies from the UK, the US, Europe and Russia, among others, by global management psychology firm RHR International, found a significant correlation between an organisation's ability to develop senior executives internally and its confidence in its ability to meet future growth needs.
