Poor service and failure to properly manage customer expectations are by far the most pressing concerns of the industry, according to an online poll carried out by the Chartered Insurance Institute in the run-up to this year's UK Insurance and Financial Services Conference.

Poor service (15%), failure to manage expectations (14%), un-skilled staff (13%) and a lack of consumer understanding (13%) were cited as being of most concern by 55% of voters.
