Manchester Underwriting increases capacity with Great Lakes
Amlin and Great Lakes Reinsurance will provide 50% each of the underwriter's capacity.
Charles Manchester, CEO of Manchester Underwriting Management (MUM), has told Insurance Age the firm has increased the capacity it can provide to UK brokers following a deal with Great Lakes Reinsurance (UK), a subsidiary of Munich Re.
Amlin previously provided 100% of the underwriting agency's capacity but there will now be an even split between the two providers.
Manchester said of the change: "It gives us first-class capacity which we already had, but this broadens that offering.
"It means
