Esure buys remaining half of Gocompare for £95m

Founder and chief executive Hayley Parsons to leave the company following the deal.

Gocompare.com has been acquired by esure in a deal worth £95m.

Esure previously owned half of the shares in the business, giving the price comparison site a total valuation of £190m.

Gocompare's founder and chief executive, Hayley Parsons, will leave the company following the deal, which is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2015.

Jon Morell, currently managing director of esure Broker and esure's deputy chief operating officer, will take on the role of chief executive.
