Gallagher expects Giles integration to cost up to £10m this year

Arthur J Gallagher expects the integration cost of the Giles acquisition to range from $2.7m [£1.5m] up to $4m [£2.4m] per quarter throughout 2014.

The costs were confirmed in a statement issued by the group to the US Securities and Exchange Commission.

Last month, the group confirmed that the 2013 integration cost of Giles came in at £1.6m.

The broker said that these costs were were "primarily related to technology costs, the onboarding of over 1,100 employees and incentive compensation".
