Brokers said the firm is building a formidable team and the signs point to acquisitions.

Towergate's announcement that Janice Deakin and Adrian Brown will be joining the consolidator as new senior executives is a clear statement of intent according to brokers.

They now make it three former employees of Arthur J Gallagher's management team who have made the switch to the consolidator following David Ross' move two weeks ago.

Ross was appointed CEO of Sierra Investment Holdings, a company set up to enable the unsecured creditors' recent takeover of Towergate, with the intention that
