£21m of suspect claims are under scrutiny by the loss adjusting firm's investigation unit

Cunningham Lindsey's Major Loss Investigators claim to have saved insurers more than £7.1m worth of fraudulent claims since it launched.

Developed in response to an increase in the number of fraudulent claims made by struggling businesses during the recession, the team claims it has increased five-fold the number of major loss claims under investigation. Suspicious claims with combined reserves of over £21m are currently under scrutiny.

Roy Shevlin, head of the Specialist Adjusting Network, said
