In the latest PB Week, Professional Broking's weekly blog, editor Andrew Tjaardstra questions the benefits of the televised general election debates.

On 15 April, we will have our first ever televised US style election 'debate' on domestic affairs for us all to judge our prospective leaders. As Gordon Brown, David Cameron and Nick Clegg finish their preparations, the question has to be asked whether such debates, are really a good idea? Especially since there will be three of them over the next three weeks before the general election writes Andrew Tjaardstra, editor, Professional Broking.
