Met Office says strong winds and downpours for Wales, the North West and Northern Ireland for the next three days

A weather warning for Wales, the North West and the Northern Ireland has been issued by the Met Office for the next three days, with the weather moving down to South West and South East England by Saturday.

More than 40mm of rain is expected to fall over the next 48 hours and the wind speed could climb to 60mph. The Environment Agency has warned of the risk of flooding.
