The Association of British Insurers has joined forces with the
Department of Social Security to launch a website aimed at combating
insurance and benefits fraud.

With fraud now costing the UK £16bn a year, the new website is designed to
raise awareness of the problem and to provide a means by which the public
can report incidents of fraud in the strictest confidence. It will also
provide a means by which business and industries can exchange information
on fraud.
