The Treasury has published the Implementation of the Distance Marketing of Consumer Financial Services Directive.
It confirms The Financial Services (Distance Marketing) Regulations 2004 will come into force on 31 October 2004 and includes a summary of consultation feedback and government response.
Intermediaries must comply with the regulations for all distance sales (non-face-to-face sales) from October until the commencement of Financial Services Authority regulation on 14 January 2005.
