Products: Markel and Groupama add to online offerings

Art gallery

Markel UK has launched a personal lines product on its broker e-trading system for the first time. The offering – designed specifically for private collectors – will provide coverage for a range of art and collectables.

Full theft cover, even when the perpetrator is legally on the premises, will be provided. The product also offers up to 90 consecutive days cover in the UK for storage, transit, exhibition, loan of artworks and auction attendance.

Richard Norman, senior underwriter, said: “The standalone policy removes the need for many collectors to upgrade their contents insurance to a high net worth contract, which can be both disproportionate and expensive.”

Groupama has also added to its online offering
