E-commerce: Insurers urged not to rush into app development
Insurers have been warned against rushing to create iPhone applications (apps) for basic insurance processes as Aviva became the latest insurer to launch an app.
The app has been designed to assist customers in capturing information following an accident or theft and Aviva has claimed it is the only app on the market that enables customers to record eye witness accounts, allowing three separate statements to be recorded per claim.
Teresa Copping, motor claims director at Aviva, said: "Aviva's MyClaim app has been designed to make it easier for customers to log the details they will need when they register their claim."
