Part-timers are the real danger

I refer to recent press reports confirming the continued stance by the Treasury to exclude travel agents and freight forwarders - that is, the part-time insurance salesmen from Financial Services Authority (FSA) regulation. As Tony Cornell has commented in his columns, these 'part timers' are the real issue, and it is the continued bad practice in this sector that defies the whole set up of the FSA regime, which is consumer protection.
