Revenue up 11% in Moneysupermarket's insurance business for 2016

The aggregator posted £73.5m in profit after tax in 2016, an increase of 16%.

Moneysupermarket.com's insurance division has generated £155.2m in revenue for the year ended 31 December 2016, up 11% on the £140.2m figure for the previous year.

The aggregator's insurance business allows customers to search for and compare insurance products including breakdown, home, life, motor, pet and travel insurance. 

The firm further noted that after a weak end to 2015 its insurance business recovered strongly in 2016 with revenues rising by 2% in the first half and 20% in the second

Applied updates on commercial push
