QBE's retail business performed well, says Pryce
QBE Europe chief also said he welcomes a review of the discount rate as quickly as possible.
QBE's Europe chief said the insurer's regional offices around the UK have "performed well" in a competitive marketplace.
As a result, Richard Pryce, chief executive of QBE Europe said the business was not going to lose out if customers wanted to do business locally and would ensure that the insurer had "strong capabilities on a local basis".
These comments follow the insurer's end of year results which saw it post insurance profit before tax of $314m [£252m] down, 32% compared to the $464m
