JLT predicts £34m hit at start of year
Bulk of charge comes from settlement costs in Willis court case.
Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group (JLT) has reported that it expects to face exceptional costs of £34m for 2016.
The broker detailed that £22m came from settling the Willis court case.
The case began in April 2015 following JLT's appointment of David Gordon and Barry Vickery along with 20 former Willis colleagues to the specie, fine arts and jewellery team within JLT Specialty.
An agreement to settle the legal dispute was confirmed on 9 April this year.
