Insurance broker sentenced over commission fees fraud

IFED investigation leads to sentencing at The Old Bailey court in London.

An insurance agent who sold fictitious insurance policies in order to pocket thousands in commission fees has been handed a 12 month suspended sentence.

The fraud was uncovered by the insurance broker he was working for and details were passed to officers in the Insurance Fraud Enforcement Department (IFED), part of the City of London Police, to carry out a criminal investigation.

Bandagu Manzeke, aged 52, of Church Lane, Hornsey in London, was sentenced on Wednesday 30 March at The Old Bailey
