Biba demands Flood Re is made widely available via brokers

Trade body urges insurers and software houses to act fast.

The launch of Flood Re has raised concerns within the broking community that some insurers are initially offering the benefits of the scheme through their direct distribution channel to homeowners.

The British Insurance Brokers' Association (Biba) described the situation as "completely inadequate" for intermediaries and said insurers and software houses are blaming each other for the delay in making the scheme available via brokers.
