Gallagher posts Q4 broker profit fall

Company says UK consolidation will be “nearly done” by the end of 2016.

Arthur J Gallagher has delivered a broking profit of $53.3m [£37.03m] for the final quarter of 2015, down from $63m in the same period of the previous year.

Despite the 15% fall the division still produced a marginally improved profit of $266.4m for the full year (2014: $262.9m).

The company overall reported profits for the final quarter and full year in 2015 respectively of $62.3m (Q4 2014: $51.5m) and $356.8m (2014: $303.4m).

Revenue in the broking segment rose 7% in the fourth quarter to $851
