ABI 2015: Driverless cars to change insurance landscape

RSA's Steve Lewis says it is impossible to understand the ramifications of where technology is heading.

Steve Lewis, chief executive officer of RSA UK and Western Europe, has said that no one knows how the insurance landscape will change when autonomous vehicles become more common.

When asked about the recent announcement from Volvo that it would accept liability for driverless cars, Lewis mentioned the importance of adapting to the changing world.

Speaking at a panel session on motor and liability at the Association of British Insurers' 2015 Conference yesterday, Lewis said: "We don't understand

Brokers upbeat on 2024 growth – Aviva

Brokers are more optimistic about growth in the coming year than they have been since before 2020, according to Aviva, with 83% expecting their business to grow compared to 76% last year.
