Experian data hack concerns software houses
Experts warn that hacking is a worldwide problem that brokers and insurers need to protect themselves against, or face fines.
Software houses have expressed concern about a data breach experienced by Experian in the USA.
Experian saw its servers hacked and the personal data of 15m T-Mobile customers stolen last week.
Theo Duchen of Acturis said the news of a breach at Experian was a concern. "I think it is a big deal," he commented.
He explained that that in the insurance sector providers such as Experian, Equifax or Lexis Nexis provide third party data.
