FCA fee increase threat
Biba calls on regulator to spend wisely as FCA consults on PPI claim time limits and considers whether to increase fees to pay for marketing campaign.
The British Insurance Brokers' Association (Biba) has called on the FCA not to pass higher fees on to brokers in order to fund an advertising campaign to highlight the end of PPI payment periods.
The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) is currently consulting on whether to impose a PPI complaint deadline.
Part of the proposal includes plans for an FCA-led communications campaign designed to prompt consumers to complain in advance of that deadline. This will include a proposed fee rule concerning
