Growing number of tools at their disposal means a revolution is going on among commercial lines brokers.

PowerPlace chief executive officer, Nick Giddings has told Insurance Age that digital can mean enhanced security for customers.

Giddings said: "We can brand a portal for brokers which is where the customer can access their documents, it's a lot safer than email."

He pointed out that there is plenty of support available for brokers wanting to use technology and added: "Our approach is now far more consultative. It is not about just selling a system, a broker needs to get the most out of it and
