RSA sees increase in UK net written premiums

Insurer reports 9% rise in UK commercial NWP in the first quarter of 2015.

RSA Insurance Group has reported a 6% growth in net written premiums (NWP) for the first quarter of 2015, according to its interim management statement.

The insurer's total NWP for its UK business was £570m in the first three months of 2015, compared with £540m in the first quarter of 2014.

NWP for the UK commercial side was up 9%, from £296m in 2014 to £323m in the first quarter of this year.
