Hiscox unveils threat product

Insurer says policy protects businesses against loss of revenue following a threat or a malicious act.

Hiscox London Market has launched a standalone threat product which is designed to protect businesses if they lose revenue as a result of a malicious threat or hoax.

The insurer said the policy provides non-physical damage business interruption cover.

ABI records 3% home premiums rise in Q1

Average home insurance premiums for buildings and contents cover rose by 3% to £375 in the first quarter of this year, pushing the year-on-year rise up to 19%, according to the Association of British Insurers.
