Acquisitions on the agenda in Aon’s SME expansion

Broker pledges increased investment as it targets SME clients and affinity business.

Aon's increased focus on SME business will lead to the creation of jobs and possible acquisitions, the COO of Aon Risk Solutions UK, Chris Lee-Smith, has confirmed.

"We are investing more into new jobs being created, there are no job reductions," he stated.

"We will be looking to increase the number of people we have got working in this business over time."

Under the plans the unit will be headed up by Keith Harrison as managing director.
