Burglary fraudster gets suspended sentence
Nicholas Warner also ordered to do 270 hours of unpaid work.
A man has been given a 10-month prison sentence suspended for two years at Bristol Crown Court and ordered to do 270 hours of unpaid work after staging a fake burglary at his home.
Nicholas Warner, 43, from Bristol, was also ordered to pay Lloyds Banking Group £2,778 in compensation after attempting to claim nearly £30,000 on his home insurance.
The conviction followed an investigation by the City of London Police's Insurance Fraud Enforcement Department (IFED).
On 5 September 2012 Warner told
