Hastings-Bass to retire from Gallagher

Gallagher chairman of international development, John Hastings-Bass, is stepping down in January.

Arthur J. Gallagher's chairman of international development, John Hastings-Bass, will retire from the company in January next year.

Hastings-Bass joined Gallagher in 2007 and has held several different roles at the broker, including chairman of the international energy business Alesco and managing director of underwriting & distribution.

Prior to that, he worked as chief executive of the international business division at JLT Group, covering Asia Pacific, continental Europe, Canada and Latin
