Biba is "not surprised but disappointed" by FSCS broker hike.

The Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) will receive a £62m levy payment from brokers in 2014/15, according to indicative figures from the government body.

This is a jump of £8m, or 15%, from the £54m levy charged in 2013/14. The indivicatve levy for that period was set at £58m in February of last year.

The forecast of £62m is based on a three-year funding model, while the funding requirement based on a 12-month forecast stood at £50m.
