MoJ to introduce independent whiplash panels in 2014

The government has launched a crackdown on whiplash fraud as part of a series of measures to reduce the cost of running a car.

Justice Secretary Chris Grayling announced that whiplash cheats will now be targeted by independent medical panels which will ensure only evidence from accredited professionals can be considered.

The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) insisted that people will no longer be able to profit from exaggerated or fraudulent compensation claims, while maintaining that genuine claimants will not lose out.

Brokers upbeat on 2024 growth – Aviva

Brokers are more optimistic about growth in the coming year than they have been since before 2020, according to Aviva, with 83% expecting their business to grow compared to 76% last year.
