IIG launches contractors scheme

Incorporated Insurance Group (IIG) has launched a new contractors’ all-risks scheme, stating it made the move in response to broker demand.

IIG explained that the new offering provided up to £5m cover on any one contract, along with own tools cover up to £250,000 and employees tools cover up to £50,000.

The company also detailed that the scheme was available with a minimum premium of £500 plus insurance premium tax.

Dean Surridge, head of contractors underwriting at IIG, commented: "The product came about as we had so many broker who were looking for this cover.

"Over 50% of the enquiries we see have a contractors' all risks cover
