Yutree leaves Cobra Network after 15 months

Yutree Underwriting has left Cobra Network in a bid to become a "truly independent intermediary".

The broker - which was set up by managing director Kevin Hancock last year - became a network member in March 2012. 

Mr Hancock confirmed: "The support from Cobra has been very welcome in our first year of trading and now we have decided to work with our clients, brokers and insurer partners as a truly independent intermediary."

The broker - which boasts offices in Newmarket and London - also confirmed it had hit agreed targets with partner insurer Prosight Speciality Insurance some four months

Emily Shepperd, chief operating officer of the Financial Conduct Authority, has said the regulator was “overwhelmed” at the response and amount of feedback to its transparency proposals, and that it is going to “really take our time” when considering any possible next steps.
