FCA board members confirmed

The members of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) board have been confirmed for when the new regulator starts operating on 1 April 2013.

The board will consist of 12 members led by FCA chairman John Griffith-Jones.

Four executive members of the regulator - Martin Wheatley, chief executive, Tracey McDermott, director of enforcement and financial crime, Clive Adamson, director of supervision and Lesley Titcomb, chief operating officer - will sit on the board.

In addition Andrew Bailey, chief executive of the Prudential Regulation Authority, will be a non-executive director.

Emily Shepperd, chief operating officer of the Financial Conduct Authority, has said the regulator was “overwhelmed” at the response and amount of feedback to its transparency proposals, and that it is going to “really take our time” when considering any possible next steps.
