Davey defends SSP service

Jonathan Davey, managing director of Keychoice, has defended SSP as doing "a damned good job" following the interruption to its broker service with aggregators.

The software provider temporarily suspended integration to all comparison sites last week after an attack on the link between SSP's brokers and Google Compare.

"We took a view that we needed to take the price comparison sites' [integration] down and check for any vulnerability," Mr Davey told Insurance Age.

"We made changes to additional data validation and got everyone back up and running within 26 hours."

Mr Davey explained that SSP was alerted to the issue at 3pm on Wednesday 7 November, and
