Ex Axa CEO joins Chaucer as non-exec director

Chaucer Holdings has announced the appointment of Mark Wood as a non-executive director from 1 September 2010.

He joins the audit, remuneration and nomination committees, and following FSA approval, is also appointed as a non-executive director of Chaucer Syndicates.

Mr Wood's previous roles include CEO of Prudential’s UK and European insurance businesses and UK CEO of Axa. He is the founder and former CEO of Paternoster, where he is now deputy chairman. His current non-executive roles include chairman of Beta, Digitalis and the NSPCC. He is also a former deputy chairman of the Association of British
