Former insurance broker turned MP, Andrew Stephenson, described being an intermediary under the labour Government as a "nightmare".
The Pendle MP said that some of the "sledgehammer-to-crack-a-nut legislation" introduced by the Labour Government had motivated him to stand for Parliament. Mr Stephenson previously worked at Manchester-based Stephenson & Threader Insurances - a family-run business he took over from his father and became a partner of - after graduating from university.
