RSA announces £30m impact of Chile earthquake
RSA, a leading insurer in Chile, has announced an expected financial impact of £30m, net of reinsurance, for claims arising from the earthquake.
Paul Whittaker, CEO emerging markets at RSA, said: "At this time our absolute priority is making sure we can service our customers and provide them with whatever support they need. Our thoughts are with all our colleagues, brokers and customers in the region."
As reported last week, RSA currently expects to achieve a combined operating ratio of around 95% for 2010. RSA does not expect the earthquake to affect this and reaffirms its full year guidance.
