IIB fears reforms will impact on brokers

The Institute of Insurance Brokers has responded to HM Treasury and the Financial Services Authority about market reforms

The Institute of Insurance Brokers (IIB) has responded to HM Treasury and the Financial Services Authority (FSA) on the subjects of reforming financial markets and the retail distribution review.

The IIB said although insurance brokers appear not to be affected directly by these measures, it believes it is important that the whole industry appreciates the pressures being applied.

“Those in the corridors of power must be dissuaded from making a pandemic move which might unduly affect some sectors
