Brokers are generally upbeat about their future and the health of the industry under the impending regulatory regime, according to an exclusive survey of Insurance Age readers. This marks a noticeable change of opinion compared to 18 months ago when the Treasury first announced the move to statutory regulation.

The results of the survey, conducted at the end of December, revealed that 57% of brokers were feeling "positive" about the onset of regulation, compared to 30% who were "negative" and 13%
